Pırıl Gündüz is an artist, curator and founder of Phoyer and Hollows. 

She is a graduate of Master of Arts in Media Studies, The New School New York, USA. She received her BA in Economics from Boğaziçi University, İstanbul, Turkey, where she completed a Film Studies minor degree. She studied at Lycee Saint Joseph and American Collegiate of Izmir. She taught ”Curating Contemporary Art” at Boğaziçi University. She is a recipient of the Sculpture Award from The New School.

In New York, she worked with the Whitney Museum of American Art Digital Art curator Christiane Paul. She was a performance art curatorial fellow at MoMA PS1. She was a visiting critic at Parsons School of Art and Design and Flux Factory artist residency in Brooklyn.

She founded an artist residency with a gallery and a performance studio in Bushwick and moved to its second location in a 5-floor townhouse on Bedford Avenue, Williamsburg. She hosted and accomodated 500+ artists from 20+ countries. The gallery had numerous collaborations with private and public organizations and participated in two art fairs in NYC and Miami.

She is currently working for Phoyer and producing under the alias ValentineXX_xyztd.
